Hello All. As most of you might know, i started college on the 3rd as well. Sunway JB fyi. I'm currently taking the A Levels course and i have tried to mentally prepare myself to work hard and accept any hardwork and effort that might come my way. Unfortunately i haven't succeeded in trying. Haven't done my homework or any self studying. Start later la.Once you're in college, nobody is going to tell you where you're suppose to go for classes, when you're suppose to go to the toilet, when you're suppose to take out a pen and paper to jot down notes, how are you suppose to spend your time after classes. You're on your own man. For example, second day of school, still orientation day, look for the place you're supposed to be yourself. So Shu Pei, Hou Ling and i were 5 minutes late. Following Monday, first day of classes, i remember the coordinator telling me about a notice board where she'll paste notices regarding classes or anything to do with A Levels. So i headed towards the board of the many noticeboards around school, found it. 2 pieces of A4 sized paper printed in a landscaped format with all the classes and timetable. Look for your class, and the next class, so that you don't have to walk all the way downstairs look at the timetable again and walk back up. Of course an alternative route would be the lift which is becoming my best friend. Practically, what college students does is hop from one room to another, most of the time on the same floor or sometimes a different floor. Classes end late afternoon everyday not including extra curricular activities which haven't started for freshies like us and after school research work. Better utilise the school facilities to the max because of the high resource fee that we pay every semester for 3 semesters.Remember how we use to complain how we don't get facilities like air conditioned classrooms in primary and secondary school, now we freeze every single day until we visit the toilet at least thrice a day. Toilet is slowly becoming my best friend too. Oh yea, Shu Pei, Hou Ling and i decided to rent lockers so we could dump our bags and books when we go out for lunch or when we don't feel like lugging our load around. It's really convenient considering the fact that we don't have fixed classrooms to leave our bags at.Classes are fine, lecturers are well fine too. We don't have a choice of choosing which lecturer we want unlike choosing suitable cubicles. Textbooks are fine. Could have waited for the second hand but was too impatient, so i bought 5 textbooks and it all summed up to RM376.20. They are what you call special books because they are published by the Cambridge University Press and you can't get them outside. And of course, we pay that amount for the paper quality as well. I sayang my books so much that i teared when i found one page of my Pure Mathematics book suffering a slight tear and the front cover bent. Ignore that, any Form 5 students thinking of taking up A Levels and you need 2nd hand textbooks next year, come find me. Please. I'll need another few more weeks to really understand and experience life in a campus so that'll be all for now.
